Are weddings a specialty or just sideline revenue?
Custom wedding programs are our specialty. While we do a variety of events thru out the year including corporate parties, donating our services at neighborhood events, and programming for fashion shows, the majority of events we DJ are weddings. When you book State Street Entertainment you are hiring "Chicago's Wedding DJ's".
Will back-up equipment be available?
Of course. We set-up our gear nice and early, test it, bring backup gear including speakers and music players, extra batteries for the wireless mic, bulbs, cables, anything one may think of including human backup in the form of both owners being at your event.
Is the equipment professional grade?
All our equipment is of the highest quality available. Names like Rane, JBL, Denon, and Senhieser. We know how use it too; to sound and light a room without you having to put in earplugs for too loud of volume or sunglasses due to cheesy lighting. Professional gear for dedicated professionals.
How will the DJ dress for the evening?
We dress smart. Normally a suit and tie.
Will your wedding be the number one priority on that day?
State Street Entertainment books one event per date, YOURS! We are not a volume shop, we do not hire or send out trainees. You get both Lou and Andy at your event, both of whom have over 10,000 hours of night club experience and have DJ'd over 350 weddings. Your event is our only priority on that date.
Will you make announcements and work with the hall and vendor?
Yes, we make all announcements in a professional, natural, eloquent manner using proper English.
Do you take requests?
Of course. As a matter of fact, during dinner we walk the tables, introduce ourselves to your guests, and ask them if there is anything in particular they want to hear. We then write down their requests and create a list that we reference thru out the night.
How much do you charge?
While some companies list a basic price then add on extras, State Street Entertainment packages are all inclusive providing everything you need for a memorable evening. Our packages start at 995.00 for 4.5 hours starting at Cocktails hour. Rate after 4.5 hours is 90.00 per half hour.
